Steps to connect the solar system: 1. Connect battery 2. Connect load 3. Connect PV array Disconnect in reverse order: 3, 2, 1.

Important notes: - Battery must be connected to the controller first. - Never connect solar panel array to the controller without/before connecting the battery. - Do not connect any inverter/wind/alternator or charger directly to the charge controller. Connect them to the battery and add a fuse. - Use larger size wires if there is a long distance between the PV array and controller or between the controller and battery to reduce voltage drop and improve performance.
